Our history
The Wachtler family started out in the hospitality business by Lake Garda more than 50 years ago.
It all started with Mr. Otto Wachtler. Otto was not born on the lakeshore, but he was fascinated by it as a child.
Born in South Tyrol, he accompanied his mother and father to the town of Arco to learn Italian. It was on those trips that he began to discover the charm of this special place, to fall in love with the climate and the very different and harmonious landscape of the lake. He was so impressed by Riva del Garda and the towns by the lake that he wanted to move and work right here once he grew up.

He was so impressed by Riva del Garda and the towns by the lake that he wanted to move and work right here once he grew up.
Vision & Mission
Once he grew up, Otto understood what his aspiration was: to make everyone who came to the lake discover the wonder of Riva del Garda. In order to make this dream come true, he decided that the best way would be to welcome these people right in Riva del Garda. In the 50s he started to manage two hotels and a residence, which are still in the family today: in fact, they are run by Otto’s sons.
Philosophy
Over the years, the Wachtler hotels have hosted many different people, but all united by the desire to experience Lake Garda in all its nuances.
Today, Marco is in charge of Hotel Oasi. He is a passionate athlete, and that's why he's working hard to offer more and more specific services for outdoor enthusiasts, both for activities and for relaxing after - or before - an outing.
Active&Relax is our philosophy: to combine sport, wellness and rest, without neglecting anything and meeting the needs of the most passionate!
